Kindergarten has flipped that switch on for the love of learning. And it is such a wonderful show to experience!
Over the weekend, I was doing something on my computer and he came in my room.
Mommy, will you show me how to get on a computer? I have computer class each week.
And I showed him my lap top, answered his question about what all of the little icons were, and we opened up Word. He typed his name by hunting his letters over and over and over.
This morning working on his home work (it is not due until tomorrow and we were at football until 8 last night), he asked, holding three crayons up,
Mommy, are these the primary colors?
Thank goodness I had looked at his folder work from the day prior. At art class they had learned about the primary colors, and about mixing colors to get a new color.
We talked about which were the primary colors, and then he thrilled himself by using red to color over his already yellow Leaf (it is "L/l" week), to turn it orange. The child was as excited as if he had a new toy!
We have entered a new world, a new era, and I think I am going to really like it!!! I'm glad he does.
